Meet Simon and Barry – Life Sciences and Healthcare insurance specialists at Clear Life Sciences & Healthcare
Simon Wyndow and Barry Cleminson from Clear are delighted to have joined BioUK.
With extensive experience across Life Sciences and Healthcare, Simon and Barry specialise in helping organisations understand, manage and transfer the complex risks they face. By combining in-depth sector knowledge with specialist insurance expertise, they help businesses put robust risk management and insurance programmes in place that can evolve alongside their organisation.
Meet Simon Wyndow
Simon has worked in financial services since 2003 and has specialised in Life Sciences and Healthcare insurance since 2016.
Over the past decade, Simon has arranged and managed insurance and risk management programmes for a diverse range of organisations, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, clinical research organisations, healthcare providers, medical practitioners and digital health businesses.
His experience gives him a strong understanding of the nuanced and often rapidly changing risks these businesses encounter, from early-stage research and development through to commercialisation and growth.
Outside work, Simon maintains a keen interest in sports science and psychodynamic therapy, which he studied at university. He is also a keen golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife, Alice, and their two daughters.
Meet Barry Cleminson
Barry brings around 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has specialised in Healthcare and Life Sciences for the past five years.
He works closely with clients to understand their businesses, exposures and ambitions, helping them navigate the specialist insurance requirements associated with operating in these highly regulated and innovative sectors.
Barry is committed to his continued professional development and is currently working towards his ACII qualification.
Away from work, Barry is married with three children and enjoys keeping active. He is an avid Manchester United supporter and still regularly plays both veterans’ 11-a-side and six-a-side football.
